I loved everything I saw and all the people I met so I moved to this fantastic city six months later and I have never had any regrets. Florence is my hometown.
Florence has character. A town proud of its past and present. That is why I like to spend time on the streets even when I am not working because there are always new things to see and discover. Firenze, as we say in Italian, really offers everything; good food and wine, beautiful spots and monuments, handicraft and fashion.
I have been working as a licensed tour guide in Florence since 2004 and in Siena since 2008. I consider myself very lucky because I am able to combine my job with my hobbies. I have always been interested in art and history and I have a Degree of Bachelor of Arts in Humanities.
One of the best things in my job is that every day is different and that I have the privilege to meet people from all parts of the world. I believe that a good tour guide has to love people and be willing to interact and share experiences.
If I had to describe myself in three words they would be positive, outgoing and dynamic.
My idea about giving tours is that they have to be more than just pleasant and informative. I think it is equally important to have fun without being superficial and to deliver an experience.
I want you to fall in love with Florence and Tuscany like I did in 1992 and make you want to come back over and over again.
