When it came to pick up college I followed my heart and choose Florence, because I felt this is where I belong to.
As a tour guide I travelled throughout the world, but when I finally became Florence city guide, I felt proud and honored to have the possibility of explaining this wonderful art city to its visitors. This is how I still feel anytime I walk around with my "guests": Florence is unique and I would like them to go back home and feel, that they've become part of it, even if it was only for one day.
But Florence is not only art or churches or museums, Florence is also food, wine and olive oil: so if you want to discover the secrets of the Tuscan cooking, or how to understand if you are using an extra virgin olive oil of high quality or come to appreciate not only Chianti wine but also the other wonderful Tuscan wines, just ask me and I will organize a food and wine tour in town or in the countryside, which might end up at my house for a quick lunch or even a cooking class.
I still have couple of surprises ready for you!
I look forward to meeting you in Florence, ciao e arrivederci!

Silvia was an excellent tour guide—very knowledgeable and accommodating. She gave us great suggestions of restaurants and some things to do off the beaten path, as well as a good sense of how to navigate this beautiful city. Grazie mille, Silvia!
