First time in Florence

Activity Level

City, First Time Visitor, Museums / Culture

Kid Friendly: Yes. Children are welcome but the tour is mainly intended for adults and teenagers.

Friendly: Yes.
I have done this tour with wheelchairs. There is not problem with the museum, neverthless some sidewalks are quite narrow and the streets of the city centre are mainly paved with quite "unconfortable" cobblestones.

Maximum travelers: 8

The Highlights of Florence

Exploring the icons of Florence, the most famous artworks and monuments: Michelangelo's David in the Accademia Gallery, the tombs of the great Italians in the church of Santa Croce, the Duomo and its impressive marble decoration, the huge Brunelleschi's cupola "soaring above the sky, it protects with its shadow all the Tuscan people". Not least, Signoria Square, a beautiful open-air museum and political heart of Florence.
A walk through the centuries when Florence was the New York of the Middle Ages, a look at the period when Florence was "the school of the world".

Accademia Gallery;
Duomo (from the outside);
Medieval streets;
Piazza Signoria and Santa Croce (inside).

A Recent Review of this tour

Francesco was personable and over qualified. I probably learned more from him than I would from a book. I would travel again just to take another tour from Francesco!!
