A full-day private tour to the heart of Southern Portugal.

Join me on this tour and cross the Tagus river, driving along the plains of the Alentejo region. We'll pass through immense cork tree forests, olive trees and vineyards.
Then, discover Évora, the heart of Southern Portugal. Get ready to travel in time through the stories that this amazing city has to tell. During one period of our History, the Royals actually spent more time in Évora than anywhere else in Portugal, making it a thriving center of Arts and Culture. There's a beautifully preserved Roman temple, a chapel completely decorated with bones, walls encircling the whole city and the old courthouse of the Inquisition. Romans, Visigoths, Arabs, Christians and Jews. Throughout the centuries, all together contributed to make Évora what it is today: a young city looking to the future, but proud of its past, traditions and incomparable monumental heritage.
On our way back, stop in a cork tree wood, to admire the cromlech of the Almendres, a pre-historical megalithic monument, surrounded by myth and mystery.

Departure by car from your hotel, pier or airport, depending on your wishes, and we cross the Tagus river, driving towards Évora. The trip takes around 1 hour and half, but you won't regret any spent minute, for the sights are beautiful: a scenic plain, full of Cork trees, vineyards and bucolic rural houses.

Arriving to Évora, the best way to get around is walking. Visit of the city and its most important sights: Giraldo square, St. Francis church, Portas de Moura square, Roman temple, Bones chapel and Cathedral (for both these monuments, there's an entrance fee- interior visit is optional).

Enjoy some time to get acquainted with the local handcrafts and also to have lunch, where you'll be able to taste the rich gastronomy from the Alentejo region.

On our way back, immerse yourself into this region's beautiful countryside as we stop to admire the megalithic complex of the Almendres.
Return by the end of the day and drop-off where it suits you better.
