"The story of Pittsburgh is the story of America" -David McCullough
We'll begin with an ascent of Mt. Washington on the Duquesne Incline and end at the legendary Yinzer Store across from Grandpa Joe's. In between we'll stop at the:
-Mr. Rogers Gateway to the Point where you will actually hear
Mr. Rogers singing about his "beautiful day in the neighborhood".
-PPG Place, the 40 story Crown Jewel of the Pittsburgh
Skyline, a Cathedral of Glass designed by Philip Johnson
featuring the "Tomb of the Unknown Bowler" on its Plaza.
In addition you will see the sports venues of the "City of Champions", pass through Downtown's Cultural District, and learn about the three legs of Pittsburgh's foundation which make the city so alive and vital today.
This two-hour Tour makes four stops: the Duquesne Incline, Mr. Rogers Tribute to Children, PPG Place, and the Sweetest Corner in Pittsburgh. We'll cruise through the Golden Triangle, the North Shore Sports District, the Cultural District, Gateway Center, PNC Plaza, Market Square, Grant Street, and the Strip.
