The Thai Elephant Conservation Center (TECC), founded in 1993 under Royal Patronage, cares for more than 50 Asian elephants in a beautiful forest conveniently located about one hour drive from Chiang Mai. Beyond being an exciting tourist experience, the TECC is also known for its pioneering work in conservation and science. The TECC also proudly houses six of HM King Bhumibol's ten white elephants in the Royal Elephant Stables.

Then, we will drive to visit one of the oldest temples in Thailand Wat Phrathat Lampang Luang - a monument of fine and authentic Lanna art and architecture, the temple stands on a small hill, surrounded by a brick wall and remains on the original site more than 1, 000 years ago.
