Grant B.

Stony Plain, Alberta, Canada

Hello and welcome! My name is Grant and I have lived in the Edmonton area for most of my life.

I am a teacher, a nature enthusiast and I have a passion for history. I am friendly, enthusiastic and compassionate and I am excited about sharing my love of the Edmonton area with you!

As a father of three teenagers I have had the opportunity to enjoy the Edmonton area through the many outdoor activities and sports my children have been involved in. From downhill and cross-country skiing to canoeing and biking my family and I have always enjoyed the many natural experiences that the Edmonton area has to offer. I also have a passion for history and a special interest in the history of the Edmonton area.

I would love to show you in and around Edmonton. Edmonton is a vibrant city that has an amazing river valley, is home to wonderful festivals and has long beautiful summer nights. Edmonton is the largest city in North America that is this far north and running through the city is the North Saskatchewan River. Edmonton's unique location is on the fringe of the Boreal forest to the north and at the edge of the Great Plains to the south.

The Edmonton area is home to a large population of Indigenous People and their rich history and culture is very much alive. Let me provide you with a sense of Edmonton's history and how it been has shaped into what it is today. Let me also help you explore the many great eating spots in the Edmonton area. As well, I can provide you with recommendations for museums, festivals and other interesting places to visit and experience during your stay in the Edmonton area.

I offer tours that explore the local natural areas on trails or boardwalks that offer chances to view the abundant variety of beautiful fauna and flora that are found here. I also offer tours of local sights of interest, history and culture. My tours are offered as a guided walk, hike, bicycle, ski and/or drive.

My goal is to provide you with a real sense of what makes Edmonton unique and to help make your experience here a memorable one!
