Enjoy a walking tour of whole Royal Mile, from Edinburgh Castle down to the Palace of Holyrood
Enjoy a wonderful day visiting the two most magnificent past and present Royal residences of the City of Edinburgh: the Castle and the Palace of Holyroodhouse. We will start at the very top of the Royal Mile, with the fascinating Edinburgh Castle which has a vital place in the history of Scotland with tales of royals, sieges and murders. We will travel down hill into the heart of the Old Town, visiting the highlights as well as discovering the off the beaten path secrets of the Lawnmarket and the High Street. Finally we will end the tour with the extraordinary Royal Palace, place for many dramatic episodes in the short reign of Mary, Queen of Scots. If time allows us to do so, we will visit the Palace inside, otherwise we will admire it from outside, hearing all the fascinating stories relating to it and visit Calton Hill instead.

Sarah was brilliant. Her energy, enthusiasm and passion for what she does carried us through a cold, wet, windy day and made for a fantastic tour. Without her we would have found a warm spot and stayed inside but Sarah was not deterred and as a result we enjoyed a day that will give us wonderful memories for a very long time. Sarah demonstrated a detailed knowledge of the history of Scotland and specifically Edinburgh and she was able to combine it with some really interesting anecdotes of characters.
