Visit historic Scott's View, Melrose Abbey and Roslin Chapel
A wonderful day out to discover the myths, legends and scenery of the Scottish Borders.
We collect you from your hotel or other departure point to suit you at 9am, and proceed directly to Scott's View. The 19thC novelist Sir Walter Scott loved this view and came with his horses and carriage every day to take it in.
We continue our tour to Melrose where you can explore the ruins of the ancient abbey. You can have lunch in the town and perhaps fit in a bit of shopping.
Alternatively, you can visit Abbotsford House, the home of Sir Walter Scott author of the Waverley Novels. He was an amazing collector of various interesting items and artefacts. There is a fine restaurant and visitor centre at Abbotsford too.
We drive through the Tweed valley to Rosslyn Chapel, a fine 15thC building. Discover the myths and legends of the Knights Templar and the Holy Grail. Those of you that have read The Da Vinci Code or seen the film, will remember the important part that Rosslyn Chapel played.
We then return to Edinburgh.
Visit to Scott's View viewpoint where Sir Walter would visit every day.
