one of Europe's most majestic locations with a private guide
A full day trip to the historical Eagle's Nest, once known as "Kehlsteinhaus", Hitler's alpine retreat that was given to him for his 50th birthday from the Nazi Party. The site commands a spectacular 360 degree panoramic view over the beautiful Berchtesgadenerland. This tour includes a stunning mountain bus ride up the winding road to the Eagle's Nest, a ride up the brass elevator that was specially made for Hitler and a visit (optional) to the Documentation Centre.
We can also include a trip across the beautiful Koenigsee (King's Lake), the cleanest protected lake in Europe, where we can visit the charming St Bartholomai church and eat the local speciality "grilled fish", caught fresh on the day by the local fishermen.
This is one of the most spectacular trips through Bavaria's most beautiful and magnificent countryside.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE EAGLE'S NEST IS CLOSED FROM MID OCTOBER UNTIL MID MAY (dates are not fixed due to weather changes), but it is still possible to visit the Documentation Centre.
08. 00 - meet & greet in your hotel with the mini van and driver and we will travel approx. 2 - 2. 5 hours to the town of Berchtesgaden.
From there we will travel up the Obersalzburg mountain to the bus car park where we will take the mountain bus up to the EAGLES NEST car park, from there a short elevator ride up to the Eagles Nest restaurant. We would spend approx 1 hour there, depending on customers wishes. (Lunch can also be eaten there).
Our mountain bus will take us down the mountain to the car park.
From here we have the option to travel on to KOENIGSSEE (Kings Lake) and travel across by electric boat to the St. Bartholomai church, or we can have lunch at a local restaurant in the charming village of Ramsau overlooking the spectacular mountain scenery.

Excellent! Excellent! Maxine is extremely knowledgable about the Kehlsteinhaus and the area surrounding Berchtesgaden. She was able to relate to our 15-year old nephew who adored her. Not a small feat when talking about Nazi's former houses. Her connections allowed us to avoid huge lines. The day was spectacular, the scenery magnificent and the tour super informative. I would do it again in a heartbeat. She took us to areas off the beaten path too -- we loved it!! We would her 10 stars!
