A Full Day Tour of Durban City with local private guide

A full day tour of one of South Africa's most popular city's, Durban. This tour encompasses a visit to the Moses Mabhida Stadium, the Victoria Market, the City Hall, the Golden Mile and other attractions

We also enjoy a walk through the bustling Zulu Muthi (medicine) markets, the Early morning market, the cow's head and Station markets.

I also include a trip in the funicular up to the top of the Moses Mabhida stadium for fantastic views of Durban city. Please note that this is weather dependant and the operator of the funicular.

A light lunch is included at one of Durban's most enjoyable outdoor restaurants, Blue Zoo near Mitchels Park; or if you prefer we can get a "bunny chow", Durban's iconic street food delight!

Visitors will also learn about the history of the people of South Africa, including the Indian people and of course the Zulu people.

This tour can be altered if visitors wish.

Itinerary

I will pick you up from your accommodation and we'll start be traveling along Durban's "Golden Mile" where I'll tell you about the history of Durban and of the people that make up this vibrant city.

From the Golden Mile we'll travel along the harbour and onto the Victoria Market. On the way I'll be pointing out interesting cites along the way.

We will also stop outside the the Durban City Hall which is built directly opposite Farewell Gardens, the site of which the original settlers camped on their arrival in Durban.

There will be an opportunity to shop at the Victoria Market. Victoria Market is used by both locals and tourists as the best source of both curios and everyday products like spices.

From the Market we head off towards the Moses Mabhida Stadium which was built for the 2010 World Cup. The stadium arches have fantastic views of the city of Durban.

We will also have an opportunity to enjoy a light lunch at one of Durban's best spots, Mitchels Park. From here we head back to your accommodation.
