Wine and Food Tour to Escape the Crowds
Wine and food have been an integral part of local culture in Croatia for centuries. While visiting Dubrovnik, you will be some 45 minutes away from the magical Peljesac Peninsula, country's most famous wine region and home to some of the most delicious seafood around.
Being a wine lover and sommelier, but also a local tour guide, I enjoy introducing my guests to our local terroir. It makes it even better when you have to travel beautiful winding roads among the villages and karst hills to do so. After being introduced to historic town of Ston, known for its defensive walls and turbulent history, you will enjoy a visit and wine tasting at a local family owned winery responsible for producing some of the best full-bodied reds in the area. As this area is known for oysters and mussels farming, you will also enjoy a lovely lunch in a seaside restaurant before returning to the ship.
Escape the crowds and enjoy discovering Dubrovnik countryside and excellent local wine and food.
Tour will first take us to town of Ston where I will introduce the history of the town. After this, we are off to visit a local winery where you will enjoy wine tasting and learn a meet thing or two about the winemaker. Before heading back, I will show you to a seaside restaurant where you will be introduced to some lovely local seafood.
