A Private Tour to Discover the Riviera; Cavtat and Dubrovnik
This outing is an ideal combination of arguably the best views over the Dubrovnik Riviera, and the discovery of the most known corners of the Riviera; Cavtat and Dubrovnik.
The road will take us, firstly, to Srđ Mountain, allowing us to stop and capture a bird's-eye view of Dubrovnik which you will be able to see laid out like on the palm of your hand. The ride then will continue along the Riviera of Dubrovnik, and tucked away in its south-eastern end lies the delightful town of Cavtat.
In Cavtat a stroll down the palm-lined promenade is a must. You'll have the opportunity to take in the lovely setting and have the chance to learn about Cavtat and its past. There will be enough time to explore this pretty town at your leisure as well before we start making our way to Dubrovnik to discover all the landmarks hidden within the ramparts of the Old Town.
After meeting at the Port Gate our first stop will be at the view point located on the slopes of Srđ Mountain. The view that will unfold in front of you will be a great introduction to what will follow.
From the view point we shall drive to Cavtat to have an enjoyable walk along its promenade.
After Cavtat we shall continue next to Dubrovnik to have a walking tour in the Old Town where we'll get to see all the highlights such as: Pile Gate, Lovrijenac Fortress, the main street Stradun, the Jewish street, the Franciscan and the Dominican monastery, the Rector's Palace, St Blaise's church and the Old Port which used to be the commercial heart of the maritime republic of Dubrovnik.
We shall end at the green market located right below the steps of the imposing Jesuit church.
Following some time at leisure in the Old Town you will be transferred back to the Cruise Ship Port.

Paolo is a "Renaissance man" with much passion for his city and country, and many interesting, unusual facts and historical information to share, as well as personal insights into the country's civil war. We were 2 couples travelling together, and Paolo tailored the tour to our interests. We very much appreciated him guiding us to the synogogue, and his commentary while there. The walk along the Cavtat promenade and the continuing path along the Adriatic was a highlight.
