Wicklow, Glendalough, Avoca, Powerscourt Gardens, The Sally Gap

This tour takes you to County Wicklow "The Garden of Ireland". You would leave Dublin via a scenic drive along Dublin Bay before heading inland to take a guided tour of the magnificent Powerscourt House and Gardens. These formal gardens are framed on all sides by the equally beautiful wild Wicklow countryside.

Then we head through the spectacular countryside to The Vale of Avoca and the Village of Avoca (of "Ballykissangel fame"). The famous Avoca Woolen Mills are situated here since 1723. You can tour the mill to see how they make their fine wares and then you can visit the famous shop and cafe.

Then you would drive to the ancient (6th century) monastic site of Glendalough situated in the "Valley of the Two Lakes" (Gleann da Loch). One of the finest sites you will visit anywhere. Historical and beautiful. First take a guided tour of the historic ruins before viisting the beautiful Upper Lake

Before you return to Dublin we drive up into the mountains to the Sally Gap for an epic scenic photo stop.

A Recent Review of this tour

My wife and me were so happy to have Gerard to be our guide. Not that he was just extremely careful regarding my wife's walking limitation, he took off route roads and places so that she can view and enjoy the places with her own pace and time. Gerard was extremely friendly and warm moment he picked us up from the hotel and within few minutes he understood what we like and enjoy during the day trip. Next time we are back to Dublin, we will look for Gerard again for down south trip through the east coast.
