I am a pure red head and I come from a very traditional Irish family. My whole family sings, speaks Irish (Gaelic) and plays Traditional Irish music. Therefore I have a strong background in Irish music and I can show you many pubs where Irish Trad sessions take place. I am well-known for breaking out into song during my tours, especially at the Molly Malone statue, where I sing you the song and explain the story about her. I have been known to tell many a story through song!
The Irish language is one of the most unique, not to mention ancient, languages of the world. I'm going to teach you to say some Irish phrases, including the most important 'sláinte' (Cheers!) Now there's a souvenir!
We're here to have the 'craic'(fun), to be sure, but we're also here to delve into the many historical wonders of Dublin and Ireland. I have a background in History, having studied it in Trinity College Dublin. I'm particularly interested in Modern Irish History and The Easter Rising. I also studied European Studies (History & Politics).
I know many of the little gems that Dublin has and we might even bump into some friend who can also sing, or do a jig for you!
