Part sight-seeing, part pub tour of Dublin city
This walking tour is mean to show you the main sights of Dublin while sampling the pubs.
This 4hr tour will include Trinity College and other key stops, but it is more free flowing to allow for breaks, and pub stops.
Some big topics, e. g. Irish Language, Celtic Tiger, are best explained when you're nice and comfortable, so we'll pop into a (great) pub 2-4 times maybe more if you wish or less if you would like to see more. Besides the history lessons, you'll learn about beer, the Irish pub, as well as partake/witness in an activity that the Irish are renowned for - conversation.
Book now for your perfectly balanced tour of Dublin. ;)
The bohemian Temple Bar quarter
The oasis that is the serene campus of Trinity College
Ha'penny Bridge - famous icon of Dublin
The GPO - the heart of the 1916 Rising
The impressive Old Parliament building
Georgian Dublin - parts of the city preserved for 200yrs
Meeting Location + Tour Duration
Meeting location: Ideally, we should start in a pub (TBC when I learn of your accommodation location - I want to make it convenient for you).
We could also start in your hotel lobby (if central enough)
Please note that I cannot provide pick-up from the port/airport
End location: We will finish in the city centre wherever you specify.
Duration: 4 hours
We aim to be no more than 30mins in a pub (when just drinking) so any delays will naturally affect the amount of sites we can visit.
Local recommendations for your trip
Walking through the streets, enjoying the pubs.
Estimated Local Cash Needed
40 euros - Depends on how hungry and thirsty you'll get during the 4hrs, but we'll stop for a meal and at least two drinks.
Any food, drink, souvenirs you purchase during the tour.
Enough clothing for windy, chilly, rainy weather - it is Ireland afterall!

The tour with Matthew was wonderful! He is very knowledgeable about everything that Dublin has to offer. We had a great time with him and we loved that he took us to some places more frequented by locals, rather than only tourists! Next time we come to Ireland, we will definitely get in touch with Matthew! He really made our short trip unforgettable.
