I am passionate about 2 things in my life. 1 is my wonderful family. The other is the clean, green breathing machine which is the nickname that I have given to my homeland. May be a bit quirky and different but then again that describes me.
I grew up on what's euphemistically called " the other side of the tracks " here in Ireland and as a result I enjoy explaining about Ireland's social hierarchy and the rapid changes that have occurred in Ireland in recent decades.
I was also raised to respect others and have good manners, and to be accepting of others regardless of origin or other details.
From an early age, I was curious about the world so much that when I finished secondary school here I was off to travel around the world.
After earning a degree in the USA, I continued to travel the world learning about cultures, history and I have also learned that people have an amazing ability to surprise me just when I thought the surprises were all used up.
I've lived in 8 countries and travelled to many more but I've always remembered my origins and stayed true to them. Now I'm back in Ireland for several years and I'm a passionate local who works as a window to my country.
I'm more interested in showing you aspects of Dublin . . . my home city and its surroundings that perhaps would be different from other guides.
At the end of my tours, I would like to hope that you'll be able to see some of my homelands special details and unique differences in a way that makes you want to come back to Dublin and Ireland again. . . . and again.
I hope my passion about this beautiful city and country reaches out and touches your heart and soul as you join me for my interpretation of my city and it's environs on my tour of this city. . . . the capital of the clean, green breathing machine.
I trained as a tour guide at a private and reputable organization here in Dublin as the tourism authority was not offering guiding courses at that point.
I trained with this company in guiding all over Ireland. Was also guiding in London before returning to Ireland for family reasons.

Previous Travellers who have taken my tours have provided the following testimonials:
" I recently took a tour of Dublin's historic district with Marc and it was refreshingly unique, interesting and with just enough facts, details and figures to keep our group interested. He answered all our questions and even offered interesting information beyond. We found Marc to be entertaining, knowledgeable and to be more than capable of delivering his tour in a calm and witty manner. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Marc as our tour guide" - Andrea Dusseldorf.
"Marc expertly and enjoyably gave us a fun and unique insight into his hometown of Dublin" - Dani, Ohio, USA.
Not allowed to guide in most Irish heritage sites as they usually provide their own guides or are self-guiding such as Guinness. I do, however, give a full prepping before visiting such sites.
