A fabulous 1 day tour combining history, legend and incredible landscape.
This tour focuses attention on the West of Ireland. We will visit the medieval Bunratty Castle, continue on to the Cliffs of Moher, one of the highest sea cliffs in Ireland-truly spectacular-next parish America! Onwards then to experience the Lunar landscape of the Burren: the geology of this region is 350 million years old. We will be at the Western edge of Europe on the Atlantic Seaboard.
We will see evidence of the terrible famine years when the potato crop failed causing much deprivation. Shed a tear as we pass a "Famine Cottage" where entire families died or at best emigrated.
We will continue along a truly spectacular coastal road right into Galway Bay through a myriad of delightful villages and onward back to Dublin
