I have been here in Dresden almost ten years, and have been guiding for the past six. In these years I have studied its history, delved into its past and unearthed stories and have immersed myself in its present.
I am, frankly speaking, besotted with my adopted city.
A post graduate in Psychology, I worked in the field of counselling for many years when I lived in India. Unfortunately I cannot practice here in Germany and had to take up a new career. The decision to become a tour guide was born out of the simple desire to know the city that I had fallen in love with better! It is now an occupation I pursue full time and truly enjoy.
I hope you will allow me to show you Dresden through my eyes.
Credentials
Member of the Dresden Guides Association
Member of the Federal Association of Guides in Germany
In addition to being a certified guide for Dresden city, I also hold the following licences:
The New Green Vault Museum in Dresden
The Meissen Porcelain Factory
Schloss Pillnitz
I am also allowed to guide in the Stasi Memorial in Dresden
Restrictions
Due to constraints, I cannot act as a driver-guide. I can arrange for a car and driver. My German fluency is conversational but asking me to do a tour in German would be torturous for both you and me :-)
Let's stay with English or Hindi!
