A deep dive into local cuisine at three of Vancouver's best sushi, seafood and farm-to-table restaurants.
Vancouver was a foodie city before being a foodie was even a thing. On this 4. 5-hour walking tour, we will explore the city's vibrant culinary history and sample some of the finest local dishes (and drinks) at three award-winning restaurants. We will meet a modern-sushi pioneer, an Iron Chef champion and one of the best bar teams in the world. The dinner will include two to four courses at each restaurant, equivalent to a substantial tasting menu. I promise you will not go home hungry. You can look forward to spectacular waterfront views, theatrical cocktails, special dishes not available to regular customers and VIP service.
In sum, a high-end culinary experience, perfect for pre- and post- cruise ship vacations.
Due to the exclusivity of these busy restaurants, this tour is only available Sun. to Thurs. , beginning at 4:30 pm.
Most guests welcome the short walks (maximum 15 minutes) between restaurants as an opportunity to digest and see more sights. Please bring an umbrella in case of rain.
- We'll meet on the waterfront at Miku, the celebrated Japanese restaurant that introduced aburi (flamed) sushi to Canada, for a sumptuous sampling plate (customized just for us) and glass of sake.
- From there, we'll walk along the waterfront to Botanist, one of Canada's 100 Best Restaurants and Best Bars. We'll tour the cocktail laboratory and sample two signature drinks paired with two dishes, all of which are made from locally foraged and farm-fresh ingredients.
- Our last stop is Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar, another one of Canada's 100 Best Restaurants, where the chef will recreate (tableside) the wild salmon signature dish that led his team to victory on the inaugural season of Iron Chef Canada. Our finale includes amuse bouche, dessert and a fun crash course on how to review restaurants like a pro
