An exploration of Michelangelo's Life, Times and Work
This tour centers on Michelangelo, an artistic guiding light during the Renaissance and remains one of the most famous and talented artists in the history of the city. . . and the world. We will, of course, visit the Accademia to see the original David, and the unfinished, but nonetheless impressive, °Slaves. " We'll also be exploring Michelangelo's interesting and stormy relationship with the most important family in the history of Florence, the Medicis, and so make an essential visit to the complex of San Lorenzo where we'll see both sculptural and architectural treasures produced by the hand of the master. Last but not least, we will cross the Ponte Vecchio to visit Santo Spirito, the home of one of Michelangelo's earliest known works which had been thought lost for centuries.

Meeting location: I will pick you up at your hotel if it is within Florence's historic center. Otherwise we will arrange a meeting point that suits you.
