One Day excursion around the capital and its main landmarks.
Havana, formerly named San Cristóbal de La Habana, is the capital of Cuba. The city also forms one of the 14 provinces of Cuba, with the province called "City of Havana". With a population of more than 2. 3 million, Havana is the largest city in both Cuba and the Caribbean.
Conquistador Diego Velázquez de Cuéllar founded Havana on August 25, 1515 on the southern coast of the island, near the present town of Surgidero de Batabanó. Havana moved to its current location next to what was then called Puerto de Carenas (literally, "Careening Bay"), in 1519. The quality of this natural bay, which now hosts Havana's harbor, warranted this change of location. Which is why Havana was originally a trading port and suffered regular attacks by buccaneers, pirates, and French corsairs.

Best guide we have ever had. Ernesto is extremely knowledgeable & articulate, not afraid to answer any of our questions. He started out by asking if we had any particular needs. We wanted to see and hear the history of Havana Cuba. Never thought I would drink Rum & smoke a cigar; but I did! Our friends had a picture of her grandparents from 1920 at Sloppy Joes so he made sure to stop there during the convertible part of the tour. IT WAS AN AWESOME TOUR, ERNESTO WAS AMAZING & SO WERE THE PEOPLE OF CUBA.
