Perfect for cruisers, 1,700 years of history and the birthplace of Zinfandel!
Split's Diocletian's Palace has been continuously occupied for more than 1, 700 years! As many people live inside its fortress walls today as did when the Emperor Diocletian ruled the Roman world. We'll discover this UNESCO World Heritage site together, strolling the ancient streets, visiting St. Duje Cathedral, arguably the first Christian cathedral on the planet; Jupiter's Temple (Diocletian was the last self-proclaimed diety, the son of Jupiter), local haunts (amazing ice cream, meet the city's last filigree maker in his workshop) and more. Then it's off to the birthplace of Zinfandel, 400 meters above the sea enjoying a spectacular outdoor konoba enjoying four different wines and Dalmatian delicacies--dry aged ham, local cheese, crusty bread, olives. A glorious day of true authentic experiences.
