Dinosaur Ridge, Morrison Natural History Museum & Red Rocks Park

Discovered in 1877, Dinosaur Ridge is one of the world's most famous paleontological sites and ground zero for the "bone wars. " Join me and go back in time millions of years to before the Rocky Mountains. See and touch bones from the Stegosaurus, Allosaurus and Apatosaurus. Look into the face of T-Rex!

This active tour includes a visit to the Morrison Natural History Museum featured in the Smithsonian Magazine for the quality of the research currently being performed.

Dinosaur Ridge is a fascinating place to go back 150 mil years to see fossilized dinosaur bones, volcanic layers in the rocks, tidal flats, dinosaur tracks and even the underside of where the brontosaurus once walked.

Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater is a geologists wonder and an artists dream! Formed 60-80 million years ago, this natural venue hosts musical and stage artists from around the world. We will explore the venue and it's natural acoustics. And see why RR is voted best venue in the world!

We will leave your hotel and head west 14 miles to the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Visits will include Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater, the Morrison Natural History Museum and Dinosaur Ridge, the location of the first discovery of dinosaur bones in the world.

A Recent Review of this tour

Dawn gave my family a great tour. She was very flexible and worked with my schedule. She even packed a cooler with cold water and baked some cookies to share. She's very knowledgeable about the area and gave us a lot of background that we would have missed out on had we ventured off on our own. I would highly recommend a tour with Dawn.
