Dhaka, Bangladesh

Hi, I welcome you all to visit Bangladesh, the home of Royal Bengal Tiger (Biggest cat of the earth).

I ensure a smooth and memorable trip for you in Bangladesh!

Please browse the facts and information that might help you to have a general idea on Bangladesh, its environment, people, culture, foods and festivals.

Bangladesh is a country in south Asia. It is bordered by India on all sides except for small border with Burma (Myanmar) to the far southeast and by the Bay of Bengal, The name Bangladesh means "Country of Bengal" in the officially Bengali language.

Bangladesh is located in the low-lying Ganges-Brahmaputra River Delta or Ganges Delta. This delta is formed by the confluence of the Ganges (local name Padma or Podda), Brahmaputra (Jamuna), Meghna rivers and their respective tributaries. The Ganges unites with the Jamuna (main channel of the Brahmaputra) and later joins the Meghna to eventually empty into the Bay of Bengal. The alluvial soil deposited by these rivers has created some of the most fertile plain in the world.

Straddling the Tropic of Cancer, Bangladeshi climate is tropical with a mild winter from October to March, a hot, humid summer from March to June. A warm and humid monsoon season lasts from June to September and supplies most of the country's rainfall.

Cox's Bazar, south of the city of Chittagong has a beach that stretches uninterrupted over 120 kilometer (75 miles) the longest beach of the world.

The majority ethnic group of Bangladesh are the Bengali people. The remainder are mostly Bihari migrants and indigenous tribal groups. There are several tribal groups located in the Chittagong Hill Tracts, including Northern part of Bangladesh, greater Sylhet & Mymansing districts.

Its the place of nature lover rivers, green vegetation through out the country of plain & soft fertile land which produce a hug quantity of paddy (rice) along with green vegetables, snugger Cain, Jute, Tea & other crops all over the year to feed more than 160 million populations. Rivers & wet lands are the main source of sweet water fish along with sea fish collections from the Bay of the Bengal which makes Bangladesh one of the five fish growing country of the world.

Most of the tourists surprised by getting a warm hospitality, during their visit in Bangladesh specially while you visit in a remote area & will welcomed by the locals whole heatedly with a great smile.

A new state for an old nation, Bangladesh has a culture that encompasses elements both old and new.

Bangladesh a small country with a reach cultural backgrounder, historical places with archaeological sites of 4th century B. C. World biggest Buddhist monument, coral island, Biggest tea garden, Rain forest with reach wilderness, Sundarbans, the world biggest mangrove forest, Weaving villages, Tribal cultures, Birding, Photography and many other tourist attractions. But not yet at the tourist map. So its really interesting to visit "Bangladesh Before Tourists Come"
