Korea is the only divided country in the world. After the Korean War (June 25 1950 - July 27 1953), South Korea and North Korea established a border that cut the Korean peninsula roughly in half. Stretching for 2km on either side of this border is the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). As one of the last relics of the Cold War, the DMZ attracts a great deal of public interest, and is a popular destination for travelers visiting Korea.

Highly recommend Denny as a guide while in South Korea! Denny spoke excellent English and provided an extremely informative tour! Would book with him again! Denny not only provided great DMZ history and background but also wonderful insights to South Korea's history and advancement to the beautiful modern nation they are today. I especially likes going down to see the tunnel dug by the North Koreans. Denny took me to a great authentic South Korean lunch while sitting on cushions on the floor.
