wildflowers and glaciers with a private guide
The Columbia Icefields are home to 8 of the highest peaks in the Canadian Rockies. This is one of the most spectacular places in the parks to do alpine hiking and also one of the easiest places to access the alpine.
There are so many classic alpine hikes, also considered moderate hikes with impressive elevation gains to simply magnificent viewpoints. The views of the 325 sq. km Columbia Icefields are stunning.
Often we see bighorn sheep on the trail and keep your eyes open for a Golden Eagle!
This hike is 100% customizable! If you would prefer a shorter hike there are many 5 star choices. You get the most reward for your efforts here. Hike up only one hour and you will be amazed by the spectacular views of the Saskatchewan Glacier, one of the 6 major glaciers of the Columbia Icefields.
