A private driving tour through the best of the north Cotswolds together with a visit to Blenheim Palace and Park
A circular drive taking in the picturesque Cotswold towns and villages, such as Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water and the Slaughters, built from honey coloured limestone, sitting in a green rolling landscape.
Stopping for a walking tour of Chipping Campden with it's beautiful High Street and magnificent 'Wool Church' and connections to the medieval wool trade and 19th century Arts and Crafts Movement.
Then on to the stunning Blenheim Palace and Park, the world heritage site which is the home of the Dukes of Marlborough and birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. There is also an option to visit Churchill's grave in the nearby village of Bladon.
This tour is very flexible and I can modify the route to take in towns, villages and places of particular interest to you. Please let me know if you wish to visit specific sites. We can for example visit some of the sites filmed in Downton Abbey (but sadly not the Abbey itself).

Meeting Location + Tour Duration
Meeting location: Please let me know where you want to meet up in Oxford, North Oxfordshire, South Warwickshire or the North Cotswolds.
We can meet at a railway or bus station or your accommodation.
End location: Where we met or other location previously agreed.
For example, if you are travelling by train we could start Oxford railway station and end at Moreton-in-Marsh railway station as they are on the same line.
Duration: 8 hours
The duration may be affected a little by traffic and the weather.
I hire vehicles for driving between sites and normally use 'people carriers' (called a minivan in the USA I believe), like the Citroen Grand Picasso. The vehicles are fully insured, modern, comfortable, spacious and high so you can see more.
If you wish there will be opportunities to walk through the heart of the towns and villages in the Cotswolds and in Blenheim Park.
Estimated Local Cash Needed
36 GBP - Entrance to Blenheim Palace is £21 per adult and £16.50 concessions (2013) and lunch is up to £15 per person.
I offer driving tours from Oxford, Banbury, Stratford and North Cotswolds. I can pick up from a hotel or station. I do not offer day tours from London but can pick-up and drop-off on longer tours.
For walking tours, I pick up within 15 miles of the start.
