Costa is the Catalan and Spanish word for 'coast', while Brava means 'rugged' or 'wild'. This term was officially recognized and promoted in the 1960s as it was deemed suitable to promote tourism.

After 4 hours of touring Barcelona with my daughter and myself Francisco had the energy to drive us to Costa Brava and treat us to breathtaking views of the coast, a tranquil walk down cobblestone streets and paella to die for at lunch. He is an amazing tour guide, who has a great sense of humor, is extremely knowledgeable and loves to engage teenagers (successfully I might add). He has a true love of his job and it shows. Thanks so much for a wonderful and unforgettable experience!! The Fanks
