Costa is the Catalan and Spanish word for 'coast', while Brava means 'rugged' or 'wild'. This term was officially recognized and promoted in the 1960s as it was deemed suitable to promote tourism.

We spent another great day with Francisco going to Pals, seeing the countryside This is what we requested but we did not realize that Pals is so far but not worth the 2 hour drive (not Francisco's choosing). We did spend time at Tosso Del Mar, swam and toured the medieval area which was fabulous. Francisco was terrific and drove very well. We can once again recommend his services which were always excellent.
