I do walking tours in Copenhagen, but also bike or bus tours in or out of Copenhagen. My tours are always custom-designed to fit your interests and needs, and I hope you will experience that you both meet a local friend but also a deeply professional tour guide who really knows his city and culture and can put together a great tour for you.
I have a human resource background and teach Danish culture when not on tour.
I grew up in the suburbs of Copenhagen, and have lived in the Vesterbro district of the city for many years - the later years spending summer time in my allotment garden/summer house by the Amager Beach Park. I have a big interest in both Danish history and modern society and life, and when I don't do guided tours, I teach Danish culture and Danish business culture to high-skilled foreigners coming to Copenhagen to work through my own company that deals with both work and life aspects in Denmark. Recently, I have started leading tours through Europe for an Australian company.
Most of my tours are on foot, simply because it's the best way to explore inner Copenhagen and the surrounding districts - it's a compact city, and cars don't have a high priority, so walking (or biking) is the best way to get around the central parts of the city. (If you prefer biking instead of walking, that is also possible).
I would like to give you a tour where you both see the Copenhagen highlights but also satisfy your curiosity of the modern life in Denmark, whatever your interests might be (take a look at my "Culture tour" for ideas).
During the longer tour, I like to include places where you can try a traditional Danish lunch, the "smørrebrød" (open faced sandwiches) - probably the most important addition from the Danish kitchen, and a thing I something do workshops in myself and like to present to guests.
Apart from living in Copenhagen, I have spent 4-5 years living abroad (the United States, Argentina and Germany for the longest periods) and I am also able to guide in Spanish and German if you are willing to deal with a few grammatical errors along the way. I really like meeting other nationalities, and hope to see you on one of my tours.
PS If you have time in Copenhagen after the tour, I will be happy to help you give you advice on that part. You will get my printed guide to the best cafés, bars and restaurants on Vesterbro (which I developed myself after doing quite a lot of tours in Vesterbro and surroundings), so you can discover the district on your own after a tour. I have also made a little home-made guide on suggestions on what to do in Copenhagen after a tour that I will bring.

We had a terrific day with Jens. He was so knowledgeable about the history but also the hipster parts of the city as well. He gave us an insider’s view of how the city has and continues to change. 5 stars!

Broad and deep knowledge of Denmark, Europe and beyond - traveling, living abroad, and meeting people from different cultures have been my interest since childhood.
I will not drive myself but hire a driver and van (or accompany you in your vehicle) on the tours that requires driving. (Both for insurance reasons and because I like to focus on the guiding).
