I enjoy showing visitors around in Copenhagen and other parts of Denmark and Southern Sweden.
On my tours I really try and make you feel more of a local than a visitor. The tours might therefore also include cycling or using public transportation and walking. On my tours I focus on the daily life in Copenhagen, the impact of our history and the influence of architecture and urban space in the city. I like to include tastings in my tours and think that a visit to a local bakery to taste the world famous Danish pastries is a must.
I am born and raised in Denmark on the Danish island Funen. After high school I went abroad and lived, studied and worked in three countries besides my home country Denmark; I lived in the Netherlands, France and the Czech Republic. I was away for a total of 11 years. I have always loved travelling and exploring new cultures. I am curious about life - and think the meeting with different cultures enrich your life. Besides being a guide, I have been working as a market researcher, data analyst and event coordinator. I live in Copenhagen since 2005 and have been a local guide here since 2008. Besides my mother tongue Danish, I speak English and Dutch fluently and French and German at a basic level.
Licensed Tour Guide in Copenhagen since 2008.
Most of my tours includes tasting of pastry, but if you have a gluten intolerance or don't like bread or pastry I could incorporate other tastings if you are interested. So, in that case, please let me know your preferences.
