I know the city like the back of my hand, and as a tour guide, I have one mission: to give you an amazing experience, where you get to explore the city with someone who can give you a true insight into what it means to live in one of happiest cities in the world.
Aside from being an experienced tour guide, I'm also a historian with a great love of arts, culture and history. I'm a storyteller by nature, and my tours are a mixture of historical facts, down to earth explanations and engaging stories of Denmark's past and present. On my tours you will get great and memorable stories that will give you knowledge and insights in an entertaining way.
A bit of background information about me:
I was born in Copenhagen's vibrant Nørrebro district, and besides from 1½ years living abroad in France and Australia, I have been living in Copenhagen all my life. I studied history and Danish literature at Roskilde University, wrote my thesis on Hans Christian Andersen's "The Little Mermaid" - and after graduating I soon realized that my true passion was to become a story teller and writer in my own right and sharing my vast historical knowledge with others.
I have worked in the Danish cultural industry since 2011, and since 2014 as a tour guide showing people around my lovely city. Besides working part time at The Royal Danish Theatre, I have worked as a tour guide at the Carlsberg Breweries and Kronborg Castle. Combined with my extensive knowledge of the Danish cultural industry, I can give you unique insights into Danish culture that derives from firsthand experiences.
Denmark is known as one of the "happiest countries in the world". With me as a guide you will learn not only how we Danes became such a happy nation, but also why.
