From the ancient Tomis to the modern Constanta, a short tour in the heart of the Old Town
Be prepared to discover the ancient and modern history of Constanța, a surprising city that tells tales of centuries!
A two and a half hours walking tour through the Peninsula, where you can discover step by step the present and past of this beautiful city
The rich history, of more than 2 millennia, is still visible, through ruins, edifices, statues, museum exhibitions and religious buildings. We will wander through the streets, discovering the symbols and traces of many cultures that have built or shared this space: Roman, Greek, Turkish, Armenian, Bulgarian or Jewish, standing alongside modern and contemporary architecture, in the midst of a busy city life.
You can admire the high panorama from the minaret of the Great Mosque, stroll down the narrowest street, discover the eight different churches, view from atop the old Port of Constanta and, of course, walk down the promenade and take a closer look at the Casino, the Art Nouveau landmark of Constanta.
* The climb up the minaret depends on the weather.
- Walking through the Peninsula seeing ruins, edifices, statues, modern and contemporary architecture and religious buildings.
- Up to the minaret of the Great Mosque, where you can admire the high panorama.
(Depends on the weather conditions, so in very windy days or bad weather the minaret may be closed to public access).
