The wealthiest chilean families of the nineteenth century introduced in this Colchagua valley (2 hours and 30 minutes trip from Santiago) very fine varieties of wine, mainly from France, because weather, geography and soil characteristics here were very similar to France. So Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec and the best Carmenere began their production and export from here around the world in the twentieth century; first as bulk wine in barrels and then in very fine bottles of the awarded "Best Wine Region of the World" in 2005. Here you can visit three wineries and you can choose from: Casas Silva, Montes, Casa Lapostolle, Viu Manent, Los Vascos or Neyen.
We drive south of Santiago city around 2 hours and arrive to the Colchagua Valley, Chile's traditional and oldest wine district valley;
the most representative of Chile's best wineries, with a typical countryside culture. Here we visit two or three wineries of your choice.

We considered that Victor provided the best guide services during our two-week vacation throughout Chile and Peru. He is a high degree of knowledge on the wineries and towns. In addition to providing expert commentaries and well-planned logistics, he was very effective in communications and in his ease of talking. He was very flexible and adaptive in meeting our tour needs. He also freely provided input and tips for other tours that we were doing. He is a top performer and highly recommend him.
