Already been to the Sears Tower? Tried deep-dish pizza and Chicago-style hotdogs? That's all good, but now it's time to get off the beaten path and hop on the 'L' and check out one of Chicago's 77 diverse & interesting neighborhoods and see how the locals live. On this tour, we'll explore my neighborhood, which began as predominately German and still maintains some of its Old World feel but has a more eclectic & diverse vibe today. I will share with you some secret treasures that a lot of locals don't even know about! Are you ready for an urban adventure? Let's go!
We will meet at the Cultural Center where we begin the tour. After a look at this beautiful building inside and out, we will see a few highlights of Downtown Chicago which includes amazing history, architecture & art. Then we will take the cta Brownline to Lincoln Square.
The tour ends in Lincoln Square where you can have lunch and shop and check out the neighborhood. I will direct everyone how to get back downtown via the 'L'.
Approximately 2+ mile walk. Please be prepared and dress accordingly. Tours will take place regardless of the weather. Depending on the season I would suggest layers and possibly an umbrella.

Being this was our first trip to Chicago, we wanted a tour that provided an overview of the Chicago. Mimi gave us exactly what we were looking and told us about Chicago's history and culture in an enjoyable 3 hour tour that included important landmark buildings, historical dates and people of Chicago's colourful past. Being a native Chicagoan, Mimi's passion for her city comes through with resounding excitement throughout the tour. We would absolutely recommend Mimi as a tour guide.
