Let me show you why we love Chicago. I am proud to have been born here, and I feel I've been granted a second life in my career as a tour guide. I offer a variety of highly personal and close-up tours, covering many different topics. I have been called a "history savant. " This may or may not be a good thing, but it allows me to share with you the various merits and interesting facts about my hometown and flesh out and show you the many characters and milestones of a truly world-class city.
All of my tours are available as all day tours in addition to the general two-hour length. I'm happy to drive a few people around in my car(Chevy Impala, which seats 3 comfortably), or I can meet you and your vehicle. Or I can design a walking tour specific to your interests and needs. Whatever works. Join me.

A Recent Review of this guide
Clarence is an excellent local guide for Chicago. Hugely knowledgeable about so many aspects of the city, with enthusiasm which was infectious. I'd been to Chicago as a tourist a couple of times before, so was looking for something more unusual than the river tour and the architectural tour that I've done previously. Clarence's offers on the website were varied and eclectic, so I negotiated with him for a 5 hour tour combining music, sports, politics, and The Mob - and how these intertwined. Perfect!
I have been a professional tour guide for two very different companies in Chicago, as well as the owner/operator of a virtual tour company. I have loved incorporating my career as an entertainer (35 years)and as an educator(over 20 years)into my tours. I love to teach and entertain! I also spend a great deal of my time and energy delivering Chicago History-oriented lectures and the like at libraries and before civic groups.
Though my focus is primarily with small groups, I can accommodate larger groups. If you are interested in booking for a larger group, I can meet you and guide you in your vehicle.
