Guided Tour of real sites where the scenes in "The Notebook" took place
This is a fun tour of The Notebook Filming Locations which took place in the City of Charleston! We will see the American Theater, which is near the intersection where Allie and Noah lay in the middle of the intersection, the street at the College of Charleston where Lon meets Allie with his car, and the restaurant where Noah sees Allie meet Lon for lunch.
We will visit Boone Hall Plantation, which was the location for the exterior of the Hamilton's Summer House, before returning to the City to view Calhoun Mansion, site for the interiors of the Summer House. A tour of the gorgeous gilded age Calhoun Mansion is available.
We will have our own photo ops around the City of Charleston at the movie theater, first date intersection, college, and restaurant before driving out to #1 Charleston plantation according to USA Today, Boone Hall Plantation, to enjoy the site where outdoor scenes from The Notebook were filmed.
Our tour of the Georgian designed home recreates the atmosphere of a Coastal Carolina planter's family and his guests, and is given by a well informed guide in historical dress. It might be fun to take the included 40 minute motorized open air coach tour which covers the entire 738 acres! Perhaps you would rather take your leisure strolling through the garden of antique roses and the Butterfly Pavilion.
It's back to the city, a 30 minute drive, to be dropped off at the Calhoun Mansion for another photo op, and to take the house tour if you wish. The Mansion is in the style of the Gilded Age, at the turn of the 20th century, and is full of antiques from all over the world.
