From historic homes tucked away on picturesque, cobblestone streets to the high battery, we'll explore Charleston's piratical past and show you some of the most important sites of the Colonial Period, Revolution, and Civil War. We can customize a tour just for you.

Oh, yes, we know all of the best restaurants. Whether it's an elegant meal by a James Beard award winning chef, a catered lunch under the oaks of a plantation, or some good, old-fashioned southern cooking, we'll make sure you get the best that our city has to offer.

As your private tour guide, I can adjust the schedule, duration and activities to meet your needs. If you have special interests, just let me know.

This is a walking tour of Charleston's Historic District. We will cover Charleston's history from 1670 through the present. We can customize the tour to cover your special interests.

Meeting Location + Tour Duration

Meeting location: We will determine the best meeting place as we discuss customizing your tour.

End location: We will determine the best ending place as we discuss customizing your tour.

Duration: 4 hours


This is a walking tour in the historic Charleston's historic district. The cruise ship terminal is right in the heart of the historic district.

If any in your party has mobility issues, we will be glad to arrange a vehicle for an additional fee. We use a charter service with professional drivers, so I can concentrate on you instead on the road.

What’s Included

Other: My services as your personal tour guide and admission to two National Historic Landmark buildings: The Powder Magazine Museum (c. 1713) and the Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon (c. 1771)

This is a leisurely walking tour. If someone in your party has mobility issues, we can arrange a wheelchair, motorized scooter, or vehicle for an additional charge.

What’s Extra

Other: You are responsible for purchasing any items of a personal nature related to shopping, souvenirs, snacks, and restaurant meals.

Depending upon your choices, there may be additional charges for admission to certain venues. We will give you those prices, when we discuss customizing your tour. There won't be any surprises!

If you have more than 4 people in your group, I can arrange to accommodate up to 20 guests for an additional fee. Just let me know the number in your group, and I will prepare a customized tour proposal for you.
