5 Hour Day at Middleton Place Plantation including Gardens, Barnyard, and House Museum
Visit Middleton Place, a National Historic Landmark located on the banks of the Ashley River. Enjoy a guided walking tour of the formal landscaped gardens. Experience 18th and 19th century plantation life with costumed craftspeople and historic animal breeds in the Plantation Stableyards.
Tour the House Museum, which is the only surviving portion of the three-building residential complex. The story is interpreted through a collection of furniture and furnishings that belonged to and were used by family members.

Depart from meeting location, to drive to Middleton Plantation on the Ashley River. (Approximately 30 minutes)
Stroll through America's Oldest Landscaped Gardens. (60 minutes)
Continue through the Plantation Stableyards where period correct enclosures house historic breeds of large animals. A weaver, cooper, carpenter, potter and blacksmith demonstrate their skills. (60 minutes)
Leisurely carriage ride through the gardens. (45 minutes)

This is a minimum time for the basic tour, based on normal traffic and good weather. Our time may also vary in the event that the carriage ride is not available due to weather or trail conditions. There are other activities and tours available at the Plantation. Please do not hesitate to let me know if you would like to embellish your tour with a meal or additional tour(s) at the Plantation.

There are other tours available at the plantation which are not mentioned here and which would be an extra expense to guests.
Cost of food and drink are not included. There is a restaurant featuring local, mostly organic low country food which would be an extra cost.
