Castle tour with Frankfurt walking tour
After a morning visit to the beautiful historical Ronneburg Castle the tour will continue from midday to evening with a walk through Frankfurt's downtown while visiting its landmarks such as:
Börse (stock Exchange)
depending on the time spend at different locations and stops in between the walk can vary between 2 to 3 hours which will leave time at the end to visit a local Restaurant where the famous Apple Wine (non-alcoholic drinks are available too)can be tasted with a traditional German meal. A visit of local museums (such as Goethe house) can be arranged upon request.
We will start our Tour, preferably in the morning, to our first destination called Ronneburg. One of the most popular and beautiful Castles in Hessen. After exploring inside the castle museum in the morning we will return back to modern Downtown Frankfurt. (castle is to far out for public transportation, this part will be driven in a car) Frankfurt walking tour departs from train station en route to Alte Oper (opera house); to the Boerse (stock exchange) while grabbing a bite for quick lunch or stop for shopping along the way, we will go then to the Zeil (pedestrian zone) where you get a view of the city landmarks from the top of the gallery. We then go to the Roemerplatz (roman area) and to the cathedral. Time can vary on this walk through Frankfurt and will end with a visit at a local apple wine restaurant where we can have a traditional meal before getting back to the pick up location.

Sabine our guide was Great! She found the hospital where my uncle was a patient in WW2 and set up a tour. Everyone was so helpful. Thanks to those doctors years ago that saved my uncles sight in one eye! I am in process of following up on information provided by the current hospital staff and by our guide. Sabine was the perfect match with her USO experience and love of the whole area. We spent the rest of our first day exploring Frankfurt and beautiful Wiesbaden! Sabina spoke English beautifully.
