A day out for kids and parents
Meeting point at guest accomodation. Leaving Valencia city by private car, at specified time between 9-10. Direction northwest to inland Castellon on a 1 hour drive. Donkey training and walk with stop for morning tea in a picnic area on the way to the town of Caudiel. The aqueduct system that is our inheritance from Moorish times, plus the charming historical "wash-house" where women gathered to do the laundry are special highlights. After a stop to do a quick walking tour of the very photogenic town of Jerica and a look inside Jerica bell tower to see how the bell-ringers once lived we head to Navajas 'Salto de la novia' river and park area for a swim in summer months or we take a drive through cork-producing country via charming Almedijar (voted one of Spain's most charming villages) to eat in an old millhouse in the charismatic town of Aín before returning to the city.
