As a mature student I attended the University of Glamorgan (University of South Wales), Pontypridd,
I successfully completed a BSc HONs in Environmental Pollution Science. My ten year teaching career began after completing post graduate studies at Goldsmith's College, London.
As a result of my lifelong passion for travel and meeting people from all around the world, in 2007 I embarked on a new career as a Driver - guide. In 2012 I enrolled on a three year foundation degree course to become a Professional Tour Guide.
As a Professional All Wales Tour Guide (a Blue Badge Guide) and a member of the Wales Official Tourist Guiding Association, WOTGA, I now have the pleasure to offer visitors to Wales, Private Guided Tours to explore the History, Culture and Outstanding Natural Beauty of Wales.
A Recent Review of this guide
We have taken 3 or 4 trips with toursbylocals guides, and will continue to do so; their guides are fantastic. We sort of blindsided Noel, not wanting the "official" tour. We were on a family history adventure, and wanted to see the locales of my husband's Welsh ancestors. Noel obliged with flying colors. From Cardiff, he took us through Pontypridd, the Rhondda coal towns, parts of the gorgeous Brecon Beacons park, and down the Neath Valley: old Aber-pergwm Chapel, Glynneath and Pentreclwydau. Wonderful!
