Get to know the person behind the tour

Iggy P.

Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa

Thank you for viewing my profile and allowing me to introduce myself!

My friends and family call me Iggy and I invite you to do the same as touring for me is a personal experience and I have made some life long friends whilst showing off my beautiful office!

Although my current love affair and work space is Cape Town I have had the privilege to live in some of the most beautiful places in South Africa and can undoubtedly say that the mother city as she is affectionately known is a real gem not just in our country but the whole continent! This coming from someone that has lived in Europe and visited many of the worlds exotic sights including the Great Pyramids of Giza, Amazon rainforest and the spectacular Victoria falls.

My journey into the world of travel and tourism started as a young boy growing up in the Zululand region. Born to a farming family that regularly entertained foreign visitors in the surrounding game reserves I quickly learned that I can work in a field that I am passionate about. This was an interesting time in South Africas history as we were also transitioning into a democratic country and being freed from the shackles of apartheid. In the following years we relocated to Johannesburg and I experienced albeit through a young boys eyes the excitement and energy in the air for the world to see our beloved country and its people.

Tourism now became a career choice and I jumped on it every opportunity I could get, from travel and tourism as subjects in schools to finishing off my high school diploma in a Hospitality orientated school. Following my graduation I was eager to travel and started working in England in some of the top hotels where I learned that no matter how good the product is it is the person that delivers it that adds the extra value! With my new found wisdom I returned to South Africa and enrolled into University, completing a national diploma in Eco Tourism Management.

Fast forward a decade and here I am, right where I want to be, offering you all my experience and passion for this beautiful city, country and unique history. A tour with me will be fully catered to your expectations and can be altered to fit a romantic getaway, group tour or entertainment for the kiddies.

Please feel free to drop me a mail and lets work together to make this your best holiday yet!

A Recent Review of this guide

Iggy was a great tour guide. Our ship arrived late so we were worried about our timings but Iggy made sure we fitted everything in as described and a little more. Very professional tour in a comfortable and smart vehicle. Stopped for a fantastic lunch at Boulders Bay, Iggy had no trouble getting a table and knew the best routes to take all day to avoid the crowns. Thoroughly recommend.
