Tastings and Colors of Cape Breton
Spend a half day touring and tasting some of the areas best local foods.
We will travel along the Sydney and North Sydney harbor area visiting old towns from the late 1800's.
This area was where the coal miners lived with there families along with local fishermen.
Your group will have an opportunity to have a local lunch where there are many options.
The restaurant of choice will be chosen prior to your arrival via correspondence.
We have great local bakers who offer treats as well.
Enjoy the views of the coastline while we stop for photo opportunities and chat about local life styles.
We will meet at the designated area within the booking information.
Then we will drive along the older neighborhoods along the Sydney River and Point Edward areas.
These are the older roads used back in time before highways were built.
Enjoy views of the coastline as we travel through North Sydney - the point where all road traffic disembarks for the Cabot Strait ferry into Newfoundland.
We then move towards Sydney Mines, Alder Point and Bras D'or communities.
View local fisherman and one of the entry points to the Bras D'or lakes, our famous inland sea.
We will then stop for lunch at the designated restaurant.
After lunch we will visit a local coffee house for local home made desserts.
You will then be brought back to the meeting point .
