As a fun twist on adventure, my parents allowed my sibling and I to close our eyes and point to an area on the map, then we would go there and explore it. This activity each summer and throughout my childhood allowed me to discover hidden treasures and nurture my love for my home. I am often asked how I feel about my home and there is only one way to describe it "In Love", I am passionately in love with Cape Breton and it is my absolute honour to be able to share it with so many new people.
For 27 years I have gained customer services skills and tourism experience. I started in 1990 with a small tour operator located at the Port of Sydney. From bike rentals to day tours offering unique experiences such as picking berries, local music and face-painting.
I have lived in four provinces and a territory here in my home country of Canada and have been to all 10 provinces by and one territory. My extensive travel across this vast nation has given me a direct look at many areas Canada has to offer visitors, and with some bias I remain steadfast and passionate that Cape Breton Island and the east coast of Canada is by far the best in the country. My passion for travel and tourism also lead to a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from our local university.
