Travel to the World Famous Cabot Trail and enjoy breathtaking scenery
Within the Cape Breton Highlands National Park and part of the world famous Cabot Trail, Neil's Harbour is a wonderful small fishing village, nestled along the Atlantic Ocean with restaurants and sea adventures such as Whale Watching! In just shy of 2. 5 hours we will arrive in Neil's Harbour where you can let your inner happy come out and meet the dramatic cliffs, ocean spray and sea birds. The sky is the limit when it comes to having a fun filled day along the eastern side of the world famous Cabot Trail.
Our day starts with the pick up, meeting you will be the highlight to my day!
Our journey begins in Sydney, the only city on Cape Breton Island. Travel westward towards the eastern entrance to the World Famous Cabot Trail. Entering the Cabot Trail at St. Ann's Bay, we will continue north along the bay to Indian River. From this point as we drive north to Neils Harbour, the scenery will change from rolling hills and rivers to mountains with high cliffs and breathtaking views of the North Atlantic Ocean.
Once in Neils Harbour we will stop at a 19th century wooden lighthouse for a short visit before our return trek south to Ingonish.
Departing Ingonish, we follow the World Famous Cabot Trail to Jersey Cove where (weather permitting) we will travel across to Englishtown on a small ferry. Englishtown is home to Giant MacAskill or Black Angus (1825 - August 8, 1863).
Once we complete our travels through Englishtown, we will be at the base of Kelly's Mountain and on our way back to the City of Sydney.

Barbra did a good job. She knew the area and the geography need a little more on the history to tie it all together. She treated us very well.
