Fes cooking class is the perfect occasion to interact with locals and unique experience day hosted by a Moroccan family, preparing food, visiting souks, making your own bread, finishing with a meal that share together in real Moroccan style. Enjoying around 4 hours in cooking class in the imperial city of Fez, known for its ancient Fez medina, where secret recipes have been passed down for generations.
First , we will pick you up from your place and take you to a local place to discuss your meal options- choice, under the guidance of your master chef you could cook different kind of tagines (with chicken, fish or vegetables), tagine of onions and raisins, Kefta (ressole) with tomato sauce and eggs, couscous, Pastila , Moroccan soups Harira, traditional Moroccan salads like Zaalouk, baked bread (khobz , Harcha , Melawi), preserving lemons, and Moroccan mint tea…
After that, we go together to local market-souk in order to buy groceries taking enough time to discover Moroccan spices (Ras El-hanout, Anise, Fenugreek, Sesame Seeds, Cinnamon, Saffron, Ginger, Turmeric…. ) tasting trails, vegetables & fruits.
Back at the house, to learn about your ingredients, traditional Moroccan dishes and their preparation. Roll up your sleeves and start cooking with the help of your chef. After the cooking, sit back, relax and enjoy your delicious, home-cooked meal .
