2nd icon of Brazil

Spend Carnival in Rio de Janeiro is a unique experience. It's a moment when the city is contaminated by this lovely party spirt! You'll see cariocas (natives) dressed with their favorite group color and shirt (just like sports events).
And ready to watch or simply take part of this performing act in the old city.

Along the year there is now the possibility to visit one of the warehouses involved in the preparations. The visit covers seeing parts of the floats and costumes. Also dressing them for photos. At the end a short movie of the last year is exhibited.

Samba schools are warehouses where each group that takes part of the great festival in February use for their practice. There are drummers and dancers working hard trying to reach a perfect performance. Along the year this practice is opened to the public mostly on the weekends so anyone can enjoy, learn the music, a few steps and most of all take part of this great event.
This can be a terrific way to get in touch with the largest Brazilian culture manifestation!
