A half day comprehensive walking tour
A comprehensive Budapest sightseeing. The tour includes the main monuments of both Pest and Buda with all the UNESCO world heritage sites:
- Andrassy Avenue with the Opera,
- Millennium Underground,
- Heroes' Square and the other attractions of the City Park: Vajdahunyad Castle, Szechenyi Thermal Bath
- Saint Stephen's Basilica (inside)
- Buda Castle Hill with the Royal Palace, Matthias Church (outside), Fishermen's Bastion and panoramic views of the Parliament & Danube bridges.
These are even the places to take the best photos! You will hear amazing and funny stories about the people of the city both from the past and the present.
We start at the magnificent Opera House on Andrassy Avenue, then we take the Millennary Underground, the oldest subway of the continent.
We get off in City Park, the first public park of the world. Here, we peep into Szechenyi Spa with people bathing in the out-door thermal pools, then we explore the romantic Vajdahunyad Castle and Heroes' Square with the most spectacular national monument of Hungary. From there, we take the underground back to the Inner City. After visiting the monumental Saint Stephen Basilica, we walk to the the old Chain Bridge and continue by foot or by bus to Buda Castle on the other side of the river Danube.
We spend the last part of the tour in the Castle, where we can admire the gothic Mathias Church and Fishermen's Bastion with the most amazing view over the Danube bridges, the breathtaking Parliament and other monuments on both banks of the river.
After the tour, it is possible to taste some inexpensive local dishes in a typical eatery or a village cake in a pastry shop.

Adam provided a great tour of Budapest and was willing to easily modify his plan to meet our needs. His knowledge of the history of Hungary and Budapest was excellent and his presentation well prepared. I highly recommend Adam as your guide in Budapest.
