Half day private walking tour
The Jewish heritage tour takes you around the old Jewish Quarter of our capital, where in line with the three religious tendencies existing in Hungary, they built three big synagogues. Walking around the neighborhood you can get acquainted with the Jewish history, tradition, culture and present of Budapest. This part of Pest, between the three synagogues, still has a special atmosphere, and this ambiance recalls the life of the tragically decimated Jewry and its significant cultural and economic role in Hungarian society. In the "Jewish triangle of Pest" there is together - in one place - 150 years of Hungarian Jewish history.
This tour is available for large and private groups as well.

My husband and I did the Jewish history walking tour with Andrea. The tour was excellent and Andrea is a fantastic guide who speaks fluent English. We visited the historic synagogues, relevant sites/memorials/statues and walked through the Jewish quarter. We learned a lot from Andrea about the Jewish community in Budapest over the past few centuries as well as the history of the Jewish community and Jewish ghetto in Budapest during the Holocaust. Would highly recommend this tour.
